Kenny Siegal's 1st Solo Album "Eleccentricity" is finished and will be released sometime early 2009. Special guests include Joseph Arthur, Trixie Whitley, Nina Violet, Bill Dobrow, Caroline Glass, Blueberry, Brian Geltner, Bryce Goggin, Jen Turner, Sean Balin, Cat Martino, Sam Kulik, Don Undeen, Chicken and The Coyote. Brian Geltner is in back on the road in France playing drums with Nervous Cabaret. Kenny Siegal is recording Larkin Grimm's new record at Old Soul Studios for Young God Records with producer Michael Gira. Hear Larkin's music here. Blueberry is currently gigging around NY click here for dates.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend Jan Kotik who was an original member of Johnny Society. Jan recorded 'It Don't Matter' with us at Bearsville Studios in 1997. He also worked with us on 'Wood' in 1998 which was voted one of the top ten albums of that year by the NY Times. Jan was a great musician and artist and it was a great honor for us to work with him. He is survived by his wife Gabriela Bukovinská Kotik and their two young sons, Armand (2.5 years) and Taber (1.5 years), his mother, Charlotta Kotik, his father, Petr Kotik and his brother Tomas. Our hearts go out to them all. Blueberry's 'Organika' to be released worldwide in Spring 2008 through Sundazed Records.

Kenny Siegal has finished co-producing a new record with Joseph Arthur and The Lonely Astronauts at his studio 'Old Soul' . The record's release date has not been confirmed. Kenny has also just finished co- producing Brion Snyder's new record and is in the process of co-producing a new record with 'White Flight' from Lawrence, Kansas to be released through RangeLife Records sometime in 2008..... to hear Whiteflight's music click here

Happy New Year from Johnny Society and band, and once again, our prayers go out to the late Jan Kotik and his family. There will be a tribute show for Jan in NYC sometime in February 2008.

Kenny Siegal has been playing lead guitar on (and co-producing) Brion Snyder's new solo record (Brion was a member of Johnny Society on '21st Century Wall' and was the lead singer songwriter of Hipbone from NC).

Kenny's also been contributing to Nina Violet and the Invisible Orchestra's new record check out some tunes from her last record on her MySpace page here.

2nd Old Soul Recording Party

Brion Snyder, Chicken, Blueberry, Kenny Siegal, Dawn Landes, Nina Violet, Marciana, Colen Ruel, Elias from Nervous Cabaret, Rima Fand, and The Luxury Flats all participated.

The session was engineered by Matt Cullen. The music will surface.

Regarding the new Johnny Society record...all we could say is.....it's getting there.

We are working with our old friend and collaborater Bryce Goggin at his studio Trout Recording in Brklyn cause Johnny thinks it's the right thing to do.

Chris Whitley's final album 'Reiter In' gets released in America on March 28th 2006

The record was produced by Kenny Siegal and all members of Johnny Society contributed to the record... Brain played the drums on the whole record and Gwen sang backing vox on two songs. The record was recorded at our studio 'Old Soul' and was the first and last Chris Whitley and The Bastard Club record...Chris Whitley died but will forever be alive through his music... This Sunday night (03/05/06) on the show 'The Music Never Stops KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles with Barry Smolin. The show airs from 9-11pm, Pacific Time, Sunday Night.
